Home-Maid Employment Services (Employment Agency License No.: 70393), is a subsidiary to Homeasy. We specialize in the agency of Indonesian and Filipino helpers. Our scope of services includes overseas employment, local employment, direct employment, contract renewal, short-term extension, overseas helper insurance, overseas helper medical examination and translation services, etc.
We will properly handle all the procedures from document processing to overseas helpers’ arrival in Hong Kong. We will also report the progress of the application at any time, so there is no need for employers to worry. During the contract period, we will follow up and assess the performance of the overseas helpers to ensure that it meets the employer’s requirements. We provide a two-year guarantee to make the employer feel more at ease.
We will provide employers with detailed information on the overseas helpers. Employers are welcome to visit our company to select suitable helpers through video conferences.

- Procedure of hiring an overseas helper

We will arrange to respond to various inquiries within one day.
Choosing the right overseas helper
After understanding the requirements, we will send the information of suitable applicants to client. After reading, client can select some helpers for video conference.
Confirmation of an overseas helper (Signing Contract)
Once a helper is selected after the video conference, client will be guided to sign the employment documents and pay the agent fee. After we receive all the documents from client, we will start the application.
Application in progress (about 3 months)
Follow-up
After the overseas helper arrives Hong Kong, we will follow up her performance. If necessary, we can arrange translation service to assist the employer to explain the requirements. Besides, client can enjoy a two-year warranty.
- Application Document
Income of an applicant should not be less than HK$180,000 per year or not less than HK$15,000 per month.
Instead, applicants can demonstrate the saving account/deposit account, receipts of stocks or other investment (e.g. funds) in the recent three months (approximately HK$360,000 or above)

Renters are required to provide certified copy of rental contract;
Public housing residents are required to provide certified copy of rental contract. They also need to apply to Housing Office for Domestic Helper Temporary Residential Document.
Copy of Identity Card
For any documents not in the name of the applicant, a copy of the relationship certificate must be submitted at the same time

Guarantee
If the applicant intend to employ helper for parents or family, the followings are required:
• Guarantee to assure the applicant will pay for the relevant charge
• Copy of Applicant’s Identity Card
• Copy of Applicant’s proof of residential address
Quick Visa
Medical proof or relevant document is needed for quick visa application, in case of the sickness or pregnancy of family member.
- Hong Kong Employment Regulation
- The minimum allowable monthly wage of overseas helper is HK$4,730.
- Total family yearly income cannot be less than HK$180,000, or need to provide other relevant asset document, e.g. Time Deposit Statement.
- The period of employment contract is two years.
- Upon termination or expiry of the contract, employers should provide free passage, usually an air ticket covering airport tax for him/her to return to his/her place of origin, and a daily food and traveling allowance.
- It is an offence under the Immigration Ordinance if overseas helper works for persons other than the employer named in his/her visa or perform non-domestic duties. Both parties found to have breached the Immigration Ordinance may face prosecution.
- Employers should take out employees’ compensation insurance against their liabilities for their overseas helper’s injuries at work. The valid period should start since the helper arrive Hong Kong.
- Employers are required to notify the Immigration Department in writing of the termination within seven days of the date of termination or expiry of the employment contract.
- Employers should provide overseas helper at least one rest day in every period of seven days. A rest day is a continuous period of not less than 24 hours. Rest days shall be appointed by employers and may be granted on a regular or an irregular basis. Unless the rest days are on a regular basis, you should notify overseas helper their rest days before the beginning of each month.
- After the overseas helper has served the employer for 3 months, he/she is entitled to the following 12 statutory holidays in a year:*Swipe left and right to view the mobile version

- Employers can make deduction for damage or loss to their goods or property directly attributable to overseas helpers’ negligence or default. In any one case, the sum to be deducted shall be the cost of the damaged item, subject to a limit of HK$300. The total of such deductions shall not exceed one quarter of the wages payable to overseas helpers in that wage period.
