A mainland environment investigation pointed out that the number of deaths directly or indirectly caused by indoor air pollution is as high as 110,000 each year (an average of 300 people per day).
Another news article cited from Ming Pao on June 1, 2007, titled with “90% Mainland leukemia children – lived in flats that had finished renovation within 6 months”, stated that children’s rooms are generally small in size, and because of their multi-purpose including resting, studying and leisure, many building materials and furniture are used. This results in a relatively high proportion of VOCs released.
VOCs are significantly harmful towards human especially children under 6 years old and even fetus. Please take action without hesitation.
